Learn to speak with an American Accent, improve the clarity of your speech, and grow your confidence in your English ability.
- Introduce yourself once and be clearly understood the first time.
- Experience fewer miscommunications with your manager, employees, or coworkers.
- Discuss your experience and qualifications with potential employers in a clear and confident voice.
- Eliminate rude-sounding speech so that your customers can see your true, friendly personality.
Learning to speak with an American Accent is like learning another language. You must learn to express your thoughts in a new way, using your mouth, tongue, lips, nose, lungs, and vocal cords to create and manipulate sounds for the benefit of your listener. In this class, we will focus on accent fundamentals (sounds, syllable stress, and word endings) and advanced topics.
This class is limited to advanced-level speakers. Please call us at 408-524-1649 so that we can check your level before you register for the class.
The class will meet for 6 sessions for a total of 12 class hours. Classes will be Wednesday evenings from 7:00 PM - 9:00 PM. In addition to in-class sessions, expect to have 15 minutes of additional, at-home practice per day.
Course Tuition:
Regular Price: $650
Before July 15: $550
Tuition includes written materials, course binder, Online videos, and Online audio/practice pages.
Cancellation Policy: Cancellations prior to the first day of class will be charged a 25% cancellation fee. Cancellations after class has begun will be charged the full tuition. We do not offer exchanges. Ovient reserves the right to cancel the class at anytime due to low enrollment or extenuating circumstances. If we need to cancel the class, you will be offered a full refund.
